.38 cal, NVSN, 35 3/4 inch octagon barrel, maple stock, brass trigger guard, butt plate, cap box, nose cap and ramrod thimbles. Double set triggers, original lock marked "Joseph Manton/Warranted". Top flat of barrel marked "Henry". Original stamp behind the trigger guard "US" with the "U" largely worn away. The cap box contains approximately 25 highly patinated percussion caps.
Barrel retains original sights and has a mottled brown/silver appearance with traces of original blue. The brass components show an untouched patina. The stock has numerous handling marks. The bore retains sharp rifling with small areas of oxidation. The ramrod appears to be an old replacement. Mechanically excellent.
